Military to Civilian Career Coaching | 1:1 Resettlement Support for UK Service Leavers

I Get It...

  • You want clarity that cuts through the noise - not just another list of job titles that don’t feel right.

  • You want confidence in what you bring to the table, without questioning whether your experience is transferable.

  • You want direction that feels solid, so you’re not second-guessing every decision.

  • You want a plan that removes the guesswork and shows you where you fit.

  • You want support from someone who gets it.

But right now....

  • You’re scrolling through roles that should fit, yet none of them feel like a real match.

  • You’re collecting courses, workshops and advice - and it's still unclear.

  • You’re drowning in information that isn't tailored to you.

  • You leave resettlement sessions thinking, “This is fine....but I still don’t know how to move forward.”

  • And you’re trying to figure it out alone - because you’re used to being the one people rely on.

I See You.

When I left the RAF, everyone assumed I’d breeze through transition because of my recruitment background.

But stepping back into Civvie Street still felt like returning to a new world.

I remember sitting down to update my CV, something I’d done hundreds of times for others, thinking: “Why does this feel harder than it should?”

It wasn’t a lack of experience.

It was that my military experience didn't translate without effort.

For the first time in a long time, I’d felt out of step.

So I did what I knew how to do: broke down my experience into civilian language, spoke to employers and recruiters, and over-prepared for interviews.

That’s when I realised:

You can be confident, capable and respected - and still feel unsure how to articulate who you are without the rank, role or structure you’ve always known.

It doesn’t mean you’re behind.

It means the transition gap is real.

The real breakthrough happened when....

My husband stepped out of uniform after 22 years of service.

A man with huge experience and real leadership was suddenly sat in front of a laptop, trying to figure

out where he fit, how to write a CV and deal with recruiters - things he’d never had to navigate before.

I could see the quiet frustration: highly capable, but unsure how to show it in a world

that didn’t automatically understand his value.

So I stepped in - not as his wife, but using everything I'd learned from my own transition,

and my years as a recruiter and a hiring manager…

I helped him:

  • Get clear on what he wanted next

  • Translate 22 years of experience into civilian language

  • Identify roles and industries that genuinely fit

  • Build a plan so he knew exactly what to do

  • Prepare for interviews so he felt calm and credible

And the result?

He didn’t just get a job.  He landed a role that respected his experience, matched his level,

and made him feel like himself again.

That was the moment I knew this was the work I was meant to do.

And Jenny Roberts Coaching was born - for Service Leavers who want a

transition that reflects who they are.

That’s why I created…..

🎖️THE SERVICE TO SUCCESS METHOD 🎖️

Because what you do next is more than just a job, it's your whole next chapter.  Most Service Leavers arrive at this point having already done the courses, attended the briefings, and collected all the well-meaning advice.

Yet they're still not clear.

That's not a problem with effort.  It's a problem with the kind of support they've had access to.

That changes when you work with me.

You need something built with depth, structure and clarity - a system that helps

you make confidence decisions, not just tick resettlement boxes.

A full transition system.

Built entirely around YOU.

A process that includes:

1. Clarity - what fits you (not just what you could do)

2. Translation - turn experience into proof employers understand

3. Direction - choose the right targets and commit

4. Execution - CV, LinkedIn, networking, interviews

5. Momentum - stay consistent, accountable, confident

Two programmes.  Two ways to make sure you get your first move right.

  • You want steady judgement alongside you while decisions are made under pressure

This is a focused, high-intensity work designed to get you to a clear, well-positioned decision quickly.

For those who are either short on time or don't want to spend month's figuring this out, and instead want clarity and direction - fast.

You'll leave knowing exactly what you're aiming for an dhow to move forward.

The Service to Success

Pathway (6 months)

Best for you if:

  • You have 12-24 months ahead in resettlement and you want to use it deliberately

  • You want space to think clearly and make a strategic decision about what comes next

  • You don't want to rush into a role that looks right on paper but doesn't truly fit

  • You want your next move to be a considered step forward, not something you'll need to undo later.

The Pathway is designed to make sure you don't get your first move wrong.

This is for Service Leavers who want to take a strategic, well-considered approach to their transition - so they're not second-guessing their decisions or realising later they've gone in the wrong direction.

You'll leave with clear direction, strong positioning, and the certainty that the move you're making reflects your level and sets your career up properly.

WHO THIS WORK IS FOR

  • Service Leavers who want to land well in Civvie Street, not just leave the military and take the first thing that comes along.

  • People who are ready to think properly about their direction, and make good decisions about what comes next.

  • Professionals who are willing to do the work and be open,  prepared to reflect, and take action.

  • Those who value proper support and experienced guidance during a major life transition and someone in their corner while they figure it out.

WHO THIS IS NOT FOR

  • People looking for a quick CV tweak or a free sense-check.  This is deeper career transition work, not one-off reviews.

  • Anyone hoping someone else will figure it all out for them. This is collaborative work, that you need to fully engage in if you want results.

  • Those who just want to "see what comes up" with their resettlement.  This is clarity, direction and a plan - not guesswork.

  • People who aren't ready to invest in proper support yet.  â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Not sure you need a full programme right now?

If you're 6-24 months from exit and want to sense-check your thinking before you make a big move, you can start with a Resettlement Audit.

We will have a one-off focused 1:1 diagnostic session of up to 60 minutes.

In it we will:

  • Look at the direction you’re currently aiming for and test whether it genuinely fits

  • Identify what you may be overlooking or misjudging

  • Clarify the level of responsibility your experience realistically supports

  • Decide what your next actions should actually be

You'll leave with a written Diagnostic Summary  that captures what we've uncovered and gives you a clear, steady direction to move in.
